CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) – Lady Wildcats won their 2nd TSSAA Class AAA State Championship in 3 years. This accomplishment didn’t go unnoticed.

MaxPreps currently has the Clarksville High School girls varsity soccer team ranked No. 19 nationally. MaxPreps ranks over 16,000 girls’ varsity soccer teams each fall.

Clarksville freshman Destiny Hill scored the game winning goal in the 18th minute of their state championship game. From that moment on Clarksville’s defense played a big role in their 1-0 win over Franklin High School. Clarksville High School is being honored during the 12th annual MaxPreps Tour of Champions presented by the Army National Guard, which is in its sixth year honoring soccer.

Tennessee Army National Guard Staff Sergeant Shirhonda Jones presented coach Jeff Jordan and the team with the Army National Guard national ranking trophy Friday evening during a half time presentation. The team also received a banner for their accomplishment.
