CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) – Clarksville boys basketball got another district win at home Friday night against Northeast with a 82-79 win.

The game was close and the lead changed hands many times. The Wildcats held off the Eagles last minute run to pull out the district win.

NE #3 Jontae Brown led all scoring with 37 points.

CHS #15 Devyn Bender had a big game for CHS with 31 points and 9 rebounds. Evan Cooper had 15, Teal Young 14, Nathan Keener 7, Branden Hurt 7, Mike Fair 4, Ford Cooper 2 and Kurt Thomack 2.

NE Quinton Cross scored 17, Jaylon Tharpe 9, Dionte Franklin 8, Nico Gonzalez 6, Tomario Vereen 2 and Destin Glover had 1.

Both teams are off next week and are scheduled to play in tournaments over the winter break.
