CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Friends of Rotary Park (FORP) is sponsoring its first Christmas tree recycling program this holiday season.
Between Dec. 28 and Jan. 11, live trees can be dropped off at Rotary Park (2308 Rotary Park Dr.) to be recycled, which helps certain areas in the trails and landscape.
Drop-offs can be made during park hours only near the area across from the playground parking lot (follow signs). Be sure all decorations and accessories are removed from trees.
FORP will be joined by the Montgomery County Highway Department Jan. 11 at 8 a.m. to chip the trees for much. Volunteers will be needed at this time. For more information, visit the FORP Facebook page.
