CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Have you finally taken down your live Christmas tree? There are still plenty of options for recycling of trees for mulch in Montgomery County.
Heritage Park: The City of Clarksville is offering city residents fresh-cut Christmas tree recycling at Heritage Park, 1241 Peachers Mill Road. Drop off undecorated, unbagged, live trees and wreaths, with metal backings removed, during park hours from dawn until dusk, through Monday, Jan. 9. The drop-off area is marked with signage pointing to the designated, taped-off area of the soccer parking lot. The trees will be chipped on-site to be used as mulch for landscaping and trails. Rotary Park: Montgomery County is accepting live Christmas trees at Rotary Park, 2308 Rotary Park Drive, in the first parking lot on the left. Trees must be fully undecorated and cannot be artificial. They will be accepted through the end of January. Trees will be mulched for use around county parks for ground stabilization.
Bi-County: Bi-County landfill is offering Christmas tree recycling at all their convenience centers and at the main landfill off Dover Road. Follow the signage for drop-off points at each site.
