CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. – The Christian County Chamber of Commerce (900+ members), a US Chamber 5 Star Accredited and 2013 National Chamber of the Year Finalist, is searching for a dynamic, growth-oriented leader for the President/CEO position.

Christian County is a community of nearly 80,000 residents and is the fastest growing county in Kentucky. The county seat is Hopkinsville which is the fastest growing city in Kentucky. In addition, Christian County is part of the Clarksville-TN MSA which is the 2nd fastest growing MSA in the country. Candidates should be committed to visionary planning to maintain and accelerate growth in the service area.

Position reports to the board of directors and is responsible to the board for all aspects of the day-to-day activities including coordinating the program of work, organizational structure and procedures, coordination of volunteers, income and expenditures, maintenance and recruitment of membership base, employment, training and supervision, oversight of satellite offices and partnerships, developing regional networks, and long term strategic planning for the Chamber and community.

Interested candidates must have a Bachelors degree and minimum of 5 years chamber experience, or similar experience, in a management position. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of other organizations. Candidates should possess strong proficiencies in fundraising, marketing and public relations, community and economic development, membership and financial management. Knowledge of the community and region is a plus.

Candidates with a US Chamber Institute of Organizational Management (IOM) certificate are encouraged to apply.
