CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Chris Rasnic has announced he is running for re-election to the Montgomery County Commission in District 17.

Rasnic, a Montgomery County native, is an environmental inspector at Fort Campbell. He was first elected to the County Commission in 2018 and again in 2022. Since then, he said, he has focused on common-sense solutions and being a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars.

He said he is particularly proud of the following:

  • Launching a wheel tax rebate program that gives real relief to low-income families.
  • Pushing through a resolution to broaden the property tax freeze program.
  • Fighting for better community resources such as the new branch library and the new animal control building in north Clarksville.

“I believe in listening to you, the people of District 17, and working together across the aisle to make Montgomery County even better. With your support, I’ll keep putting families, fiscal responsibility and our community first,” Rasnic said.

Rasnic and his wife Lindsey have two sons, Travis and Tyler.
