CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – You could almost smell and taste the sweetness in the air inside the Wilma Rudolph Event Center Saturday, April 17, for the eighth annual Chocolate Affair, A Celebration of Cocoa.

With precautions and guidelines concerning COVID-19, this year’s event was a Chocolate Affair “stroll” as each guest attending was given a carry-out sample box and walked from vendor to vendor to receive samples of delicious cakes, cookies, pies, and chocolate of all kinds.

The Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department hosted the event again this year, which features both an afternoon and evening session. Kara Zahn with Parks & Recreation said this year was a little different but they were thankful to be able to have it.

“With the building capacity at 50 percent, we still wanted to hold the event in a safe way for our ticket holders. We normally have around 300 people per session and this year we did 150 people per session. It’s always an event that we never have trouble selling out,” Zahn said.
