CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – How would you like to be part of an event that is a lot of fun and support a great organization like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital? Coming up Saturday, September 7 from 12-3 p.m. it’s the St. Jude Bowling Tournament at the Pinnacle Family Entertainment Center with Chili’s in Clarksville.
Chili’s has long been a supporter of St. Jude with locations throughout the restaurant chain holding fundraisers for the medical facility. Last year with their All Profits Day and Create-A-Pepper campaigns in September the local Chili’s collected over $15,000. This is the first year for the bowling tournament which is an additional fundraising event.
According to Marin Alaniz with Chili’s, “It’s a five person bowling team but it’s only four people, kind of like a mulligan in golf. So whoever has a bad hand or the lowest score you can go ahead and drop that or if you have someone that’s a great bowler you can have them bowl as many times as they want,” said Alaniz
Along with the bowling tournament there will be a spaghetti dinner with garlic bread, toast, salad and a special desert table from the staff of Chili’s from 4-9 p.m. downstairs at the Pinnacle. After 9 p.m. until midnight it will be adults only with a DJ and dancing.
The cost of the bowling tournament and spaghetti dinner is $125. For just the spaghetti dinner it’s $25 for adults and $7 for children under 12.
All Profits Day is September 23 at Chili’s and from open till close at the restaurant, 100 percent of the profits will go to St. Jude. The Create-A-Pepper campaign is another fundraiser at Chili’s as customers color peppers with crayons and make a donation to St. Jude. The peppers are then displayed throughout the restaurant.
