CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- A Clarksville hotel lobby is in need of repair after a child drove a mini van into the building.

At about 12:15 a.m., on Monday Aug. 10, Clarksville Police responded to the Quality Inn, located at 3095 Wilma Rudolph Blvd., to a vandalism already occurred.

According to Clarksville Police, the owner of the van was outside the vehicle while it was running and an 11-year-old child was inside the car.

The child knocked the car out of gear and the van ran into the building, according to Officer Fontella Jones, spokesperson for CPD.

The child suffered minor scratches on the face. No charges pending against the owner.

The building and van sustained substantial damage.

No one inside the hotel was injured.

In a 911 call obtained by Clarksville Now and WKRN, the hotel clerk is heard in a 911 call telling a dispatcher a child ran the minivan into the hotel lobby.
