CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Mayor Kim McMillan and Clarksville Police Chief Al Ansley promoted four officers Friday during a packed room at Police Headquarters.

Officer Stephen Hurt, hired in 2013, was promoted to Sergeant and previously held the position of Field Training Officer. He will be a shift supervisor on District 3 day shift.

Officer Shelby Murray, hired in 2013, was promoted to Sergeant, previously held the position of Field Training Officer and is a member of the Tactical Unit. She will be a shift supervisor on District 2 night shift.

Officer Arthur Bing II, hired in 2000, was promoted to Sergeant previously held the position of Field Training Officer. He will be a shift supervisor on District 3 day shift.

Sergeant Robert Miller was promoted to Lieutenant and previously held positions as a detective, shift sergeant, and sergeant in the professional integrity unit. He will be a shift Lieutenant in District 3.

Chief Ansley congratulated the promoted officers and members of their families.
