Chester Walker, 97, formerly of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2024, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Guthrie, KY.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Friday until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Chester was born on March 1, 1927, in New Deal, TN, son of the late Leonard and Clara Bell Walker. He was a member of Hilldale Baptist church, Odd Fellows and Pythagoras Lodge #23 IOOF. Chester was a retired crane operator and was the former owner and operator of Walkers Custom Campers. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, camping, fishing, and canning vegetables.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Ruby Virginia Bryant Walker and Nancy James Walker, siblings, George Dobbs, Estell McKinney, Louise Byrum, Lila Reinhardt, Beulah Mai Hooper, Tommy Walker, James Walker and Tippy Walker, and grandson, Cheston Miller.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Walker; children, Danny (Jan) Walker, Rhonda (Andy) Miller, Allen (Stacey) Walker, Robin (Paul) Rittenberry, Clara (Dean) Walker; sister, Meg Cerny; grandchildren, Joseph, Beth, Jackson, Evan, Aleshia, Grace, Rachel, and Taylor; and great grandson, Weston.
Pallbearers will be Jackson Miller, Butch Mayes, Donald Rigsby, Scott Waters, Paul Rittenberry, Kenneth Westerman, and Donald Stout Jr.
