Charlie Edward Clinard, age 72 of Palmyra, passed away on Sunday September 9, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare of Clarksville.
He was born October 6, 1945 in Montgomery County, the son of the late Robert William Clinard and Dorothy Mae O’Bryan. Charlie had worked at various jobs including carpentry, construction work, truck driver, and small engine repair. At one time he had also owned a gun store in Springfield. He loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Latham Clinard of Palmyra; two sons, Charlie E. Clinard Jr. (Tamra) of Kingston, TN; and Jason Curtis Clinard of Mountain City, TN. Also surviving are brothers James Clinard of Clarksville and David Clinard of Adams, TN and a sister, Mary Frances Brodley of Clarksville.
Charlie is also survived by grandchildren Brittany Byrge of Oak Ridge; Kimberly Clinard of Maryville; Raelyn Clinard of Kingston; and Charlie E. Clinard III of Kingston as well as great grandchildren Devon, Kohen, and Cameron. Charlie is also survived by Leslie Howard of Clarksville, who he considered to be a son.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Jane Clinard and a brother, Bobby Clinard.
A memorial service is being planned at a later date.
