FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – In honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States, Fort Campbell will host an Independence Day celebration on the 101st Airborne Division Parade Field featuring “The Legend of Charlie Daniels Tribute Concert” including a state-of-the art-Charlie Daniels hologram.

The free event will also include performances by Aaron Tippin, Eric Lee Beddingfield, and the 101st Airborne Division Band, organizers said at a press conference in front of the Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum Thursday morning. The event will close with the Fort Campbell fireworks show.

Charlie Daniels in hologram

Daniels, a Grammy winner, a Country Music Hall of Fame member and Grand Ole Opry inductee who passed in 2020, was known for hits including “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” He founded The Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project to assist veterans.

Noah Gordon with 8 Track Entertainment said Charlie’s voice and presence coupled with his love for family, the country and the military, is part of the fabric of America. The entertainment company has been working on this project and creating the hologram since early 2025, working closely with the Daniels family through the process.

“This show is kind of a dream come true for me,” said Charlie Daniels Jr., son of Charlie Daniels during the press conference. He said his dad would be humbled at this opportunity. The idea came after he planned to do a farewell tour with his dad’s band. He later approached the entertainment company with the tour plan, which resulted in the hologram.

“We also couldn’t think of a better venue, a better place to unveil it than right here on Americas 250th birthday among the brave men and women of our armed forces and their families,” said Daniels.

“We believed Charlie’s music needed to come back alive based on where the country is at, and driving back the American values and how God’s made such an impact on this country,” said Drew Tutton with Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, who is sponsoring the event in partnership with America250.

Concert, carnival and more on July 4

The concert is produced by Fort Campbell MWR, 8 Track Entertainment, and MOTR Music. Fort Campbell has been selected as an official America250 Block Party Partner Site, placing it at the center of what is expected to be the largest synchronized Fourth of July celebration in history.

Aaron Tippin is a platinum-selling artist with six gold albums and more than 30 charting singles. Eric Lee Beddingfield, former Independent Artist of the Year known for his hit “The Gospel According to Jones,” returns with his new album Resurrection charted Top 10, produced by Grammy-nominated Kent Wells.

The event will also feature interactive brand experiences and a free driving activation showcasing the latest vehicle lineup and more, the news release said.

Festivities begin July 1 with a carnival and brand activations continuing throughout the week, leading into the July 4 celebration.
