A Celebration of Life service for Charles “Charlie” Robert Collins, age 66 of Clarksville, will be Friday, June 5, 2020, at 12:00 PM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY. Charlie passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was born on June 1, 1953, in Morristown, TN to Charles and Patricia “Pat” Long Collins. Charlie was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as a printing supervisor. He was a lifetime member of both the 101st DAV and Vietnam Veterans of America. Charlie enjoyed visiting Metropolis where he was given the nickname, Minion. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, and dressing up as Santa Claus for various businesses including, the American Legion Post 233.
Charlie is preceded in death by his father. In addition to his mother, Pat Collins, he is survived by his wife, Emily Collins; son, Charles Robert Collins, Jr.; daughter, Jaime Collins (Opey) Minteer; sisters, Debbie Heath and Becky (Rich) Thompson; and grandchildren, Jeffrey R. Collins and Zachary R. Barber.
