Charles Drayton Hale, Jr., 84, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Gateway Medical Center.

Charles was born on June 16, 1931, in Appalachia, VA to the late Charles Drayton Hale, Sr. and Thelma Mae Ayer Hale.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Monday, December 14, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Pegram, TN with full military honors.

Charles was a Retired U.S. Marine, having served in the Korean War. He was also a Retired Firefighter and Fire Inspector with the City of Hialeah. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Appalachia, VA.

Charles is survived by his wife, Jeanette Miller Hale of Clarksville, TN; son, Charles Nathan Hale of Port St. Lucie, FL; four daughters, Sandra Jane Hale of Clarksville, TN, Terrie Lynn Hale Weeks of Plantation, FL, Jessica Lee Hale of Clarksville, TN, and Linda Anne Hale Ashby of Pleasant View, TN; two sisters, Darlene Hale and Nancy Hale; eleven grandchildren, Katherine McLachlan, Lawrence T. Weeks, IV, Jaime Lynn Weeks-Allen, Carl James Weeks, Johnathan G. Maldonado, Kevin E. Maldonado, Taylor M. Maldonado, Lorrie A. Hale, Ashlyn G. Haynes, Kaya E. Ashby, and Travis D. Ashby; and six great-grandchildren.
