Charles Wayland Crockett, age 65, of Cunningham, TN, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Centennial Medical Center, in Nashville.
He was born November 29, 1948, in Hampton, VA, to Wayland Rodgers Crockett, Sr. the late Vivian Cochran Crockett. Charles was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Crockett, Jr.
Charles was a US Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam.
Funeral service will be at noon on Wednesday, October 22 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. Daniel Richard officiating. Interment will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West, in Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In addition to his father, Charles is survived by his wife of 42 years, Charlotte Crockett; one son, Michael (Elizabeth) Crockett; daughter, Angela (Robert) Shock; two brothers, Robert (Kathy) Crockett and Pete (Sarah) Crockett; two sisters, Elizabeth Hicks and Birdie (Mike) Riggs; and six grandchildren.
