CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- Briggs Clothiers is by no means a new store to Clarksville, Tennessee.

In fact, June 1, 2019, marked their 48th year in business.

To celebrate and commemorate their long-time in the community the Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting Thursday, Dec. 6 at their Madison Street store.

“It was a real honor to have customers who my father-in-law served in attendance as well as both mayors,” said Brandon Hester, the son-in-law of former owner Ernie Briggs. “To see the support, commitment and loyalty from so many in the community was very special.”

The third generation of Briggs, Brandon and Susan (Briggs) Hester, became owners this year, giving Briggs Clothiers a fresh new brand, an updated inventory, and renovations to the store.  Briggs Clothiers offer fine men’s clothing such as tuxedos for weddings and rentals, on-site alterations and custom fit clothing with shirts in 99 sizes. They also offer a full-wardrobe consultation. In addition, apparel, men suits, and formal wear, shoes and accessories can also be purchased at the store.

Briggs Clothiers is located at 1990 Madison Street and is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. For more information visit them online or call them at 931-647-6444.
