CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Centerstone, a a not-for-profit behavioral health care organization, is hosting a free two-day workshop for Tennessee military couples on April 11-12, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, at The Ruby Cora (2300 Gunn Road) in Adams, Tenn.
Participants will learn skills that help build and maintain healthy relationships and will utilize information from such approaches as Gottman and Gary Chapman. The workshop will be facilitated by Joe Brazzle, a retired U.S. Army veteran and licensed marriage and family therapist.
“Relationships can be difficult, especially for military service members,” said Dr. Jodie Robison, executive director for Centerstone’s Military Services. “This workshop for military couples is created using research based techniques and will help participants gain tangible skills they can immediately apply to their relationships.”
Couples are encouraged to attend together, but solo attendance without your spouse or partner is also welcome.
Space is limited. Visit centerstonemilitaryservices.org to register for the healthy relationships workshop. Casual, civilian attire is requested for all participants, and breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.
In addition to Centerstone’s outpatient offices located in Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Illinois and Indiana, Centerstone’s Military Services provides mental health services for military service members, veterans and their families across the nation using an independent provider network. Military Services regularly taps into its national provider network of more than 1,000 therapists to serve ADSM, veterans and their families close to home — wherever, whenever and however they need help – in person, online, on the phone.
