ERIN, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The 2019 Irish Day Parade and Arts & Crafts Festival in Erin is happening Saturday, March 17.

The 57th Annual Celebration’s theme is “Roots of the Irish Run Deep.”

Attendees can enjoy a parade, vendors, live music, a demolition derby, carnival, and more.

FULL SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Held in downtown Erin, TN, the parade travels from Houston County Middle School to the Houston County Community Hospital with a carnival set up on Front Street.

Food and craft vendors can be found in Erin Square, Front Street, Spring Street, and Adkins Street, with entertainment on the Square Stage.

The traditional festival is held each year to remember the Irish immigrants who settled the town in the 1850s. Main Street and the rest of the town will be decked out in green decorations galore and visitors are encouraged to sport green attire.

GRAND Parade
Parade starts at 11:00 a.m.
Main Street closes at 10:00 a.m. in preparation for the parade. No animals are permitted, except for service animals.

Leprechaun Parade
Young Leprechauns are invited to help lead the parade. They will leave from the Erin Nazarene Church ahead of the Grand Parade. Judging will begin at 10:30 a.m., so parents need to arrive early. There will be no last minute entries or judging. Leprechauns will be judged according to costume and/or ride.

Demolition Derby
