Cecille Lewis Powers, age 89, of Clarksville, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Fieldstone Place. She was born in Indian Mound, TN, to the late Thomas H. Lewis and Ruth Free Lewis. Cecille was also preceded in death by her husband, Vester Powers, and daughter, Gwendolyn Wallus.

Mrs. Powers was retired from the Acme Boot Company, a member of First United Methodist Church, and a member of the local Rebekah Lodge.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, April 11, and from noon until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Cecille’s nephews will serve as Pallbearers.

Mrs. Powers is survived by her son, Edward L. Powers, of Waynesburg, PA; two brothers, Jess Lewis, of Murray, KY, and Bob Lewis, of Clarksville; sister, Rose Roe, of Clarksville; and two grandchildren, Benjamin Wallus and Thaddeus Wallus.
