Cecilia Ryan, age 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2015 with her daughters and granddaughter at her bedside, at Spring Meadows Healthcare Center.
Cecilia was born in Chicago, IL, to the late Barbara Gricius Rudis Janusas and Anthony Janusas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edward Ryan; son, Phillip Ryan; son-in-law, Richard Oliva; grandson, Mark Ryan; three half-brothers, John, Joseph, and Anthony Rudis; one half-sister, Estelle Rudis Madison (Martin); as well as her aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by daughters, Pamela Ryan Oliva Herriman (James) of Clarksville and Barbara Ryan Duda (Martin); three grandsons; three granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and their families.
Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Deacon Dominic Azzara officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday, March 31 at the funeral home.
Cecilia was a homemaker and later worked in various factory production positions. She was a cafeteria worker at Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago, and after moving to Clarksville she worked at Palmyra Nursing Home in the kitchen for several years before retiring.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and was paid many visits by Eucharistic Ministers during her stay at Spring Meadows.
Her daughters Pamela and Barbara wish to thank all involved in her care at Spring Meadows and AseraCare Hospice for the kind and loving care she received.
