CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Internet and telephone service has been restored for thousands of customers of the Clarksville Department of Electricity after a fiber-optic line failed on Sunday.

The service interruption that lasted more than 12 hours also interrupted the utility’s own internal phone system so they could only provide updates via Face book.

Fiber engineers were able to restore power by 7:00pm. CDE advises anyone still experiencing internet service issues to re-start the router or call 645-8151
