CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) -UPDATE (5:16 P.M.): Internet service has been restored with a temporary connection in the Memphis area. Work will continue through the night on this connection.

UPDATE: CDE phones are now back online, though reaching their office via phone could still prove difficult due to the volume of incoming calls.

Customers can file a ticket online or speak to a representative via chat. Tickets can be filed here.

Regarding the restoration of internet services, there is still no specific ETA.

“As with any extensive fiber damage, it could be several more hours before we are back online,” said a CDE representative.

CDE Lightband announced this morning there is a temporary Internet outage affecting all customers.

Officials said the electricity and broadband service provider has two 100 gig Internet connections to ensure that they do not have service issues.

The primary feed to Nashville was severely damaged in the tornado and is currently being repaired.

The backup connection to Dallas, which has been handling the service since the storm, went off-line this morning.

Engineers believe they have pinpointed the source of the issue and are working to restore connections as soon as possible. At this time, there no specific time frame has been provided for connection to be restored.

Phone lines for CDE Lightband are currently down, but they appreciate the patience of customers as they work to repair the issue.

Clarksville Now will work to provide updates on the situation as they become available.
