CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Cathi Maynard, who died Friday at age 65 following a 35-year battle with multiple sclerosis, will be remembered next weekend in a celebration of life service with military honors.

Catherine Reed Maynard was born Dec. 6, 1957, in Germantown, Pennsylvania, according to her obituary. In her early years, she served in the US Army as an MP and also was affiliated with Special Forces operations.

After her honorable discharge, Cathi and her husband Joe Maynard co-operated the family business, JCM Management. The Maynards have been generous supporters of Austin Peay State University, Clarksville Academy, A Soldier’s Child Foundation, Operation Stand Down, SAFE: Soldiers and Families Embraced, and others.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her children, Joe C. Maynard (Andrea) and Lucas Maynard; her grandchildren, Joe C. Maynard Jr., Haylee Maynard, and Shelby Maynard; and her siblings, Michelle Ulearey, John Reed Jr., and Michael Reed.

The celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 7, at LifePoint Church with Pastor Mike Burnette officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the church. Rendering of US Army honors will follow the service. Her remains will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Marshall, Herb Pryor, Pete Santaniello, Dennis Boyce, Kris Phillips, Gerald Harrison, Walt Lord, Eric Lehman, Mike Patterson, John Sells, Wes Golden, Ken Gilman, Scotty Carroll and George Galegor.
