In preparation for tonight’s snowy conditions, Montgomery County Highway Department crews are making sure their fleet is ready to hit the roadways to keep them clear and asks residents to restrict travel later this evening.
Here’s the list of the additional streets that have been reopened by the Clarksville Street Department on the morning of Monday, Feb. 17.
Over the course of the past 24 hours, the Montgomery County Fire Service has helped rescue two separate vehicles who were trapped on flooded roadways.
After a weekend dominated by showers and hazardous conditions, Clarksville-Montgomery County will have mostly sunny weather on Monday, before snow showers are expected to hit the following night.
The Clarksville-Montgomery County area is currently under a Flash Flood Warning until Saturday, at 12:15 p.m., while also having a Flood Watch remain in effect until noon tomorrow.
Clarksville forecast: Another 4-5 inches of rain expected to fall this weekend on already saturated ground in Clarksville, leading to a Flood Watch from midnight Friday through noon Sunday.
Clarksville rain forecast: With multiple days of rain coming up, Clarksville could get 4-6 inches of rain, causing creeks and rivers to rise.
Rain is expected to continue Friday afternoon and into late Saturday. Saturday will have an 80% chance of showers, according to the National Weather Service.
