The Nashville Spartans, one of the top teams in the USPHL, is moving to the F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville under a new name: the Red River Spartans.

After 41 long weeks, high school football is finally back. All ten Clarksville-area football teams are in action this week, so let’s take a look at the matchups for week one of the 2024-25 regular season.

The West Creek High girls’ soccer team hosted the Beech Buccaneers for their home opener to kick off the 2024-25 season on Tuesday, Aug. 20. Beech High started the contest out hot and got an early lead, which they held for the whole game, winning by a score of 5-0.

The Northeast Eagles payed a visit to Northwest High school for a season opening volleyball match with the Vikings. A high energy, back and forth match, with all sets being decided within five points, came down to the fifth and final set, which Northwest took to secure the match, 3-2.

Clarksville native Blake Amlicke is set to represent the United States at the 2024 Junior Pan Pacific World Championships beginning this week.

Last season, the Clarksville High Wildcats went undefeated for the first time since 1945, but they fell in the first round of the playoffs in a heartbreaking one-point loss against Collierville.

The Fort Campbell Falcons hosted a week 0 jamboree tune up for six Clarksville and Hopkinsivlle football teams. After four games of explosive plays, big hits, and exciting action at Fryar Stadium, there’s only one thing to say. Football is back.
