Five standout seniors from the Montgomery County Rangers took center stage at the highly anticipated GNASH (Greater Nashville Area Scholastic Hockey) Senior Game last night, leaving an indelible mark on the ice and showcasing their talents among the best in the league.

The Northwest Vikings hosted the White House-Heritage Patriots on a pretty Tuesday night at Northwest High School. The Vikings got out to a strong start, and despite a comeback attempt from Heritage, Northwest held them off, claiming a key home victory 2-1.

The Clarksville Academy Cougars hosted the Goodpasture Cougars for a district volleyball match at Clarksville Academy on Tuesday. While Academy came out the gates strong, Goodpasture beat them in straight sets, 3-0.

Kirkwood High football traveled to Montgomery Central High School to battle it out with the Indians on Friday, Aug. 30. While MCHS battled throughout the game, the Cobras pulled away with a 35-7 victory, which moved the Cobras to 2-0 on the season.

The Northeast Eagles traveled across the river for a soccer match with the Indians at Montgomery Central High School. While both teams were even at one during halftime, the Indians scored two early second half goals to secure a 3-1 victory.
With one day before the start to their 2024-25 college football season, the Austin Peay State University football team and head coach Jeff Faris are preparing to go up against the University of Louisville on Saturday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m.
