Rossview High senior guard Imani Evans has been named Clarksville Now Player of the Week following her performance in the Hawks undefeated week, as they were able to secure wins against Springfield and Northwest High.
Under the direction of head coach Cody Chandler, Kenwood Middle School will have a team on the baseball diamond once more for the first time in over half a decade.

Immanuel Gilmore is a 17-year-old senior at Montgomery Central High School, who also happens to be a two-time state tournament qualifier for the boys’ wrestling team at MCHS. As he was wrestling this past Saturday, he sustained a broken neck which led to an emergency surgery at Vanderbilt.

The Clarksville Academy Cougars hosted the Webb School Feet in a regional quarterfinal, and a win or go home matchup, with the right to advance to the state tournament on the line. The Cougars got in a hole early, and couldn’t crawl out of it, and Webb advanced 70-54, ending the Cougars season.
The Clarksville Christian Lady Centurions traveled to Welch College for the TSIAA State Championship game against the Boyd-Christian Broncos. The Lady Centurions dominated the entirety of the game and cruised to their fourth straight state championship victory by a score of 67-13.

This season has been filled with upsets, unlikely heroes, and domination from top-level student-athletes. Here are the top storylines heading into the postseason.

The Clarksville Academy Cougars traveled to Ezell Harding Christian for the Division II-A Middle Distirct Championship against the Goodpasture Cougars, who are ranked number one in their class in the state. The Cougars battled, but couldn’t get stops down the stretch, and Goodpasture won the “Battle of the Cougars” 65-52.

The Richview Middle School boys’ basketball team traveled to Rockvale High School for the TMSAA Class 3A State Championship game against the Elmore Park Eagles, who had not lost a game in over three years. The Eagles caught fire from three early on and built a big lead, as the Cowboys couldn’t come back from the early deficit.
