The Rossview High softball team traveled to the Murfreesboro Starplex for the first game of the TSSAA Class 4A Softball State Tournament against the defending state champs, the Dobyns Bennett Indians. The contest needed 10 innings for a winner to be decided, but who walked away with the victory?

After being slated to play on Tuesday, May 20, all TSSAA state tournament baseball games have been postponed a day due to the storms stretching across Middle Tennessee.

Regardless of the results this week, the 2025 season for high school sports will end. While it’s bittersweet, four Clarksville-area teams have titles to chase in Murfreesboro, including three baseball teams and one softball team.

It’s rare to have a youth baseball team grow up to play for top teams in the state. It’s even rarer to have them all play for top teams in the state in the same city. However, most members of this Clarksville Orioles 9U baseball team are set to represent the Clarksville area in the state tournament, even though they are now wearing different uniforms for three separate teams.

The Rossview Hawks hosted the Bartlett Panthers for a sub-state win-or-go-home matchup, with a trip to the state tournament in Murfreesboro on the line. The Panthers took advantage of two opportunities, and despite great effort from the Hawks, they couldn’t find the back of the net, falling 2-0, ending their season.

The Rossview High Hawks started their postseason as the fourth seed in their district. They didn’t win their district tournament. They didn’t win their regional tournament. They’ve played in four games with their season on the line. However, the Hawks have never wavered.

The Rossview High Hawks traveled to Collierville High School for a three-game series with the Dragons, and a trip to the state tournament on the line. The two sides had previously split the first two games of the series, and here’s how game three played out for the Hawks.

The Clarksville High Wildcats hosted the Houston Mustangs for game three of a sub-state series, in a win-or-go-home matchup, with a trip to the state tournament on the line. It was a back-and-forth battle but see who came away with the victory.
