Kirkwood High School has announced the hiring of Tenisha Lockridge as head girls’ basketball coach, their third coach in program history.

The 2025 softball season in Clarksville was filled with lots of success, postseason unpredictability, and culminated in two teams from Clarksville finishing as one of the top teams in their respective state tournaments.

Brian Rush served 20 years as the head coach for Clarksville High School girls’ basketball. Over that time, he won over 400 games, captured several district and region titles, and had a few state tournament appearances along the way. However, he won’t remember those accolades as much as the connections he’s made with his players.

Clarksville High School held a make-up graduation ceremony for the class of 2025 baseball players who were unable to attend the original ceremony due to their recent postseason state tournament run.

Clarksville High Athletics announced on Tuesday, May 27, the hiring of Ellie Treanton as their new head girls’ basketball coach. The news comes after longtime head coach Brian Rush stepped down from the position after 20 years at the helm.

The Clarksville High Wildcats made it all the way to the TSSAA Class 4A state championship game against the Farragut Admirals on Saturday.

The Clarksville High Wildcats traveled to Murfreesboro on Friday for game three of their TSSAA Class 4A State Tournament run against the Oak Ridge Wildcats. Each team traded blows throughout the game, but on a walk-off hit, CHS was able to win the game and capture a spot in the state title game.
