It’s hard to believe, but we’ve reached the halfway point of the Tennessee High School football season. Let’s take a look at the matchups this week.

The Rossview Hawks traveled across Warfield Boulevard for a volleyball rivalry matchup with the Clarksville Wildcats on Tuesday night.

Clarksville High junior running back and linebacker Ahvare Galbreath has been named Clarksville Now’s Player of the Week following his performance in the Wildcats’ 35-14 win over John Overton.

The Northwest Vikings traveled across the river to Montgomery Central High School for an in-city matchup with the Indians.

The Kenwood Knights traveled to West Creek High School for the 17th edition of the “Battle of the Mill” rivalry game.

Tres Wittum, a Republican candidate for Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District, and Assistant Coach Trey Campbell will host a “Friday Night Lights for Faith” gathering.

This week, the games are highlighted by a couple of inner-city matchups, along with some important regional contests. All games kick off at 7 p.m. on Friday.

The Kirkwood Cobras traveled to Northwest High for an in-city soccer matchup Tuesday on the pitch with the Vikings.
