Congressman Mark Green, R-Clarksville, who is finishing his first term in the U.S. House of Representatives, has a Democratic opponent on Nov. 3 in Kiran Sreepada of Williamson County.

The candidates answered questions on several topics including traffic, the economic recovery, confederate monuments and the state’s Coronavirus response.

According to Montgomery County Administrator of Elections Elizabeth Black, there is no rule prohibiting a person from holding a seat on both the County Commission and the City Council.
Of the 22 people running for Clarksville City Council, two have been charged with misdemeanors in Montgomery County General Sessions court.

State Rep. Jason Hodges, who is finishing his first term in the Tennessee General Assembly in District 67, has a Republican opponent on Nov. 3 in John Dawson.

Running in Ward 12 are six candidates: Trisha Butler, Jon Lockwood, Joe Shakeenab, Guy Stanford, Adam Walker and David Webb.

Running in Ward 11 are Jimmy Brown, Ashlee Evans and incumbent Gary Norris.
