The Clarksville Police Department is conducting an investigation into the death of a man found deceased on Sunday morning.

A 16-year-old has been charged with homicide following Friday night’s double shooting at 9th and Shearor Street in Clarksville. 

Police responded to a shooting in progress call at 11:02 p.m. on Friday in the area of 9th and Shearor Street.

A Clarksville couple was charged in connection to a murder in Memphis and was later arrested while attempting to steal a yacht in San Diego.

Wednesday will mark four months since Dwight Lee Carter, 55, died from his injuries after being struck in a hit-and-run incident on Providence Boulevard.

A shooting that occurred on Caldwell Lane Friday night resulted in one fatality. Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide.

Clarksville Police are looking for 38-year-old David Burnett, who has arrest warrants for aggravated assault and weapon possession as a felon stemming from a shooting that occurred Wednesday on Chapel Street.

The July term of the Montgomery County Grand Jury indicted Army Sgt. Scott Alan Haynes Jr. on charges of murder and reckless endangerment.

A police perimeter was set up early Saturday morning around a residence on Ellie Nat Drive, and nearby residents have been asked to stay in their homes.

One suspect is in custody and another fled the scene after a shoplifting incident at the Old Navy store inside of the Governor’s Square Mall Tuesday afternoon that left one Clarksville Police officer injured.
