With the 2020 season right around the corner, Austin Peay State University baseball head coach Travis Janssen completed his coaching staff, hiring Mississippi State pitching standout Trevor Fitts as the Governors pitching coach.

Austin Peay State University women’s basketball trailed for the first 32:58 against the Murray State Racers, before a strong defensive effort in the fourth quarter led the Governors to a comeback, 69-61, win in the First Financial Bank Battle of the Border, Thursday, in the Dunn Center. 

After a quick one match road trip, Austin Peay State University is set to kick off a four-match homestand with a 2:30 p.m., Friday match against the Eagles of Carson Newman at the Governors Tennis Center.

A rivalry game amplified by a battle for the final spot in the Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Championship, Austin Peay State University women’s basketball will host Murray State for a 5 p.m., Thursday tip-off in The First Financial Bank Battle of the Border in a game that means more than just bragging rights this season.  

After back-to-back sweeps on the road last weekend, Austin Peay State University women’s tennis returned home and took care of business once again; beating Cumberland, 7-0, Tuesday at the Governors Tennis Center, en route to their sixth-straight victory.
