ST. LOUIS (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) – Cardinals manager Mike Shildt unveiled his likely lineup and batting order for opening day on Thursday in Milwaukee.

According to the St. Louis Dispatch, Matt Carpenter will join the team in Milwaukee and is expected to play Thursday.

In order, the rest of the lineup will be (No. 2 hitter) Paul Goldschmidt, Paul DeJong, Marcell Ozuna, Yadier Molina, Dexter Fowler, Kolten Wong and Harrison Bader. Jack Flaherty, targeted for the second game of the season, will pitch four or five innings Sunday, to be followed by a succession of relievers.
