CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Nashville middle school student is one of the latest Tennesseans who have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

Three additional cases reported Saturday, March 14 bring the total confirmed cases in Tennessee to 32. There have been 130 negative tests, according to the Tennessee Department of Health.

Health officials are urging residents to practice social distancing whenever possible. Proper hygiene and good judgement are essential. Wash your hands, stay home when you’re sick, and cough your mouth when you sneeze or cough.
Novel coronavirus is a respiratory virus. It is not the same as the common cold or the flu. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) current symptoms reported for patients with COVID-19 have included “mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough, and difficulty breathing.”
