CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Carol A. Berry has announced her candidacy for re-election to the Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board, District 1.
Berry, a lifelong educator, has been endorsed by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Association.
She has earned her Tennessee School Board Association Level IV Boardmanship Award. She has also completed the TSBA Portfolio for the Boardmanship Level V status.
She previously served as president of the CMCEA and led the group to obtain collaborative conferencing. She also served on the Tennessee Education Association Board of Directors.
Berry taught in Missouri, Texas, Department of Defense in Germany, and Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools. Through the years, she taught K-8th grades, supervised student teachers, and taught college courses.
Berry said she is willing to continue to serve on the School Board to support and make a difference in the community and to be an advocate for public schools.
She said she believes, according to Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord, and are called according to his purpose.” She said she loves God, and feels called to fulfill his purpose.
