FLORENCE, Ky. – A 20-day-old infant that was inside a car stolen in Florence, Kentucky has been found safe at a Marathon gas station in Fort Mitchell, which is about 15 minutes from where he was taken.

WKRN News 2 reports that Henry Flores was in the backseat of a car stolen from the Speedway Gas Station on Highway 42 Thursday afternoon.

Authorities said when his mother walked inside the store to pay with her other child, a 2-year-old, a person wearing black jumped in her 2001 Volkswagen Passat and took off toward the interstate.

An Amber Alert was issued for the child and a few hours later the car was dropped off at another gas station with Flores inside. Two women who had seen the alert recognized the vehicle and called police.

No arrests have been made at this time.
