When it’s time to take the family out for lunch or dinner, there’s a new place in Clarksville to put on the top of your list. CAP’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill has been in the works for quite a while, and they opened their doors on May 8.
Owner Cheryle French said CAP’s is a family-owned business with the name of the restaurant coming from the first letter of the first name of her and her husband John’s three children: Colin, Anthony and Peyton. “We are here for the community and the neighborhood and everyone of all ages are welcome.

“We have a menu for everyone, it’s a little bit across the board, and a little bit for all ages. It’s not your traditional just burgers and fries like a sports bar or a bar and grill would have. We have your normal chicken tenders which we hand batter, we hand cut our fries, and we have bacon-wrapped dates,” French said.
One of their most popular menu items is their beer-battered fish fry, Southwestern eggrolls, Cajun chicken and sausage alfredo pasta, adding that they also feature quite a few vegetarian options.
CAP’s is kid-friendly, and they want people to feel like they’re at home. “We have a kid’s menu, we also offer coloring, papers, crayons, and little games for the children to play while they are here,” French said.

For now, CAP’s sells beer, but they have applied for their liquor license and hope to feature mixed drinks with dinner in the near future. CAP’s is also hiring for cooking and server positions.
CAP’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill is at 2720 Madison St., Suite K, and they are open Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.-10 p.m. For more, go to CAP’s online, visit them on Facebook, email capsango@gmail.com, or call 931-919-2035.
