CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Bikers Who Scare Haunted House promises to offer “new thrills, chills and mazes” for the community this year.
Jeremy Minor of Camp Rainbow and the BWC gave an overview of the attraction, showing off its features such as clowns, zombies and a bloody decade flashback.
Upon entering the haunted house, participants are given some ground rules, including “don’t touch the monsters.” Those with epilepsy are asked to exercise caution, as some of the rooms may contain flashing lights.
The first space, known as the “Zombie Apocalypse Room” is filled with hidden features and lots of screaming. Other sights and sounds of the haunted house include unpredictable walls and floors, a train and a fully functional vortex, as well as a maze with a hidden exit.
Members of the BWC personally build all of the backdrops and props for of the rooms that make up the haunted house. They also rely on local volunteers who act as monsters and other characters, personally adding their own themes to each of the spaces that attendees experience. Along with BWC members, groups volunteering include students from APSU and Clarksville High School Football.
Proceeds from the 12th Annual Haunted House will benefit BWC Charities such as Buddy Ball, the Montgomery County Child Advocacy Center and Camp Rainbow, a summer camp for seriously ill children.
The attraction opens to the public on October 10 at the Old Carmike Theater located at 1955 Madison Street. Doors open at 7 p.m., and other dates include October 11, 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31, as well as November 1. The cost is $13.
