CLARKSVILLE, TN − As part of The Butterfly Collective’s efforts to engage and support high school girls, we are reaching out to seek support and collaboration for our mentoring program. We believe that community partnerships are crucial in reaching out to young women and providing them with the resources and support they need to succeed.

Our Butterflies (mentees) will gain valuable insights, set goals, and learn to spread their wings to their full potential. Our first event of the season will be our annual Butterfly Boutique, where high school girls attending prom can shop for free, choosing from stunning dresses, shoes, and accessories for their special night.

In April 2024, our Butterfly Boutique had an inventory of 100-plus dresses, and over 60 pieces of accessories, with additional help from community sponsors such as Plato’s Closet, Surita Simone (jewelry company), KingDom Decor, and Pinky’s Up Tea. We are seeking to have an equally successful event with more participation from the local community.

The 2025 Butterfly Boutique event will be April 12, 11 am to 4 pm at 119 Franklin St. To ensure we have a variety of garments and accessories, we are asking each participant to register via our website: https://www.butterflycollectiveinc.com/

In addition, if you have the capacity, there are other ways to help with this event. We are currently accepting donations of:

  • New or gently used formal dresses
  • New or gently used formal shoes
  • Purses and handbags
  • Jewelry (new or unworn)
  • Sample coupons and small gifts

The donation drop-off location is Plato’s Closet, 116 Morris Road, and donations are being collected until April 10. For large donations, please email butterflycollective@gmail.com.

If you want to help in other ways, feel free to:

  • Donate on our website
  • Donate your time for setup and teardown
  • Donate food (light refreshments and drinks)
