At the time, McGaha and his employees had left to conduct business for the day when he received a call about the fire. When he arrived at the scene, it was already completely engulfed.

“A lot of the firefighters are my buddies and they did a great job,” he said.

Shortly after, McGaha’s phone was blowing up with calls and text messages from his concerned friends. Many of them came to the site to help with the cleanup, bringing special equipment and staying late into the evening to do whatever they could.

“I just want to give everybody a big thank you because it just really made me realize what kind of community we have around here,” McGaha said. “When people are down other people show up. It had me pretty choked up.”

At this point, he said all he and his employees can do is move on and continue with business. “This is all material stuff. The main thing is that nobody got hurt,” he said.
