Update, 4:50 p.m.: Clarksville Fire Rescue was called to the Burger King at 3089 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. at 2:32 p.m., according to CFR. The broiler had caught fire, and employees evacuated the building and called 911.

Firefighters arrived to see smoke coming from the roof. They quickly extinguished the fire and checked to see if it spread outside of the kitchen. No injuries were reported.

Responders included Battalion 2, Ladder 9, Rescue 9, District 3, Ladder 12, Tower 1, Squad 1, Engine 8, Medic 26, and CPD.

The roadways are back open, according to CPD.

Update, 3:20 p.m.: The broiler in the kitchen caught fire, and the flames got into the chimney, Rios said. Damage appears to be limited.

Update, 3:15 p.m.: Holiday Drive is closed from Wilma Rudolph to Clay Lewis, according to Clarksville Police.

Traffic on Wilma Rudolph Blvd may also be affected, and CPD is asking the public to avoid the area and take alternate routes until further notice.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Firefighters are responding to a fire at the Burger King on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard this afternoon.

At about 2:40 p.m., the restaurant near the mall had a fire reported, according to Clarksville Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Michael Rios.

The Holiday Drive intersection was closed, according to dispatch.
