NASHVILLE, Tenn. – State Representative Curtis Johnson has announced that the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) recently awarded a $235,705 Housing Trust Fund (HTF) grant to Buffalo Valley.
The grant will be used to finance the rehabilitation of six homes that will provide transitional housing for 48 homeless veterans. Two of the homes are located in Clarksville and will serve up to 14 individuals.
“We value the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who serve our country in the military,” said Rep. Johnson. “I appreciate the continued partnership between THDA and Buffalo Valley to ensure those who defend our country have a place to call home when they return from service.”
The Housing Trust Fund (HTF) was created by the THDA Board of Directors to support innovative housing initiatives that serve the needs of Tennessee’s most vulnerable residents.
