CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Members of the Buffalo Soldiers MC visited CMCSS Central Offices to donate reusable masks to local teachers.

As local schools prepare for the fall semester, teachers are taking additional measures to ensure students’ health as well as their own. This includes thousands of masks, visors and other forms of personal protective equipment (PPE).

“Kids are getting ready to go back to school, and we want to make sure that all the teachers and faculty are safe,” said Chapter President Victor Atkinson.

Atkinson said the donation included 600 masks, divided into packs of 5 so that teachers can have one for each day of the week.

Director Millard House met with the club members to thank them for the donation. House emphasized the role of the community in schools reopening safely for the fall.

“It means a lot. It shows how caring and responsible this community is to have the Buffalo Soldiers of Clarksville, Tennessee to step in and be able to support our staff with PPE. It means a lot, and we are looking forward to that continued kind of relationship with our community,” said House.
