MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) have recovered a stolen vehicle in connection with a burglary that occurred December 1.
The victim reported that a 1992 GMC pick-up truck, along with tools, equipment, and electronics were stolen out of his barn in the 4900 block of Highway 41 A South.
Deputies, with the help of a local citizen, were able to locate the vehicle for sale online. Investigators arranged a meeting with the sellers in order to conduct an undercover operation.
After meeting with the suspects and confirming the vehicle was that of the victim, investigators took two brothers (Christopher James Sheldon, 25, and Andrew William Sheldon, 24, both from Madison, Tn.) into custody.
Christopher Sheldon has been charged with criminal conspiracy. His bond has been set at $50,000.
Andrew Sheldon has been charged with theft. His bond has been set at $50,000.
