CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A bomb squad from the Tennessee Highway Patrol was called to a home on Killington Drive Tuesday night to investigate a suspicious package.

According to a press release a man found an Amazon package in his driveway that he thought was making a ticking sound at around 8:00 p.m.

Emergency responders arrived on scene and got a glimpse of the contents through an opening in the package.  It appeared to be some sort of shelving pieces inside but emergency personnel could not definitively identify the contents.

After THP’s bomb squad arrived and was briefed they decided to approach the package wearing protective gear.

The package contained a kit for building a dresser. It had been mistakenly been shipped to the Killington Drive address.

The scene was cleared around 12:30 a.m.
