CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – ESPN Clarksville and Bojangles are featuring a pair of golfers as our Bojangles APSU Athletes of the week from Austin Peay State University. Jessica Cathey and Taylor Goodley are being recognized from the Governors women’s golf team.
Cathey, entering the Ohio Valley Conference tournament was averaging 76.48 for the year and has been named All-OVC for the third time. The senior has recorded four top 10 finishes in five outings (the other was an 11th place finish), including two medalist honors.
Meanwhile, Goodley was named to the OVC All-Newcomer team. Along with her twin sister Ashton, the freshman had a huge impact on APSU’s golf program this season. In addition to owning the team’s second best win percentage (71.4), she owned 17 rounds in the 70’s in her first season in route to a 78.24 scoring average.
