CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The body that was found in a truck pulled out of the Cumberland River has now been identified as missing Clarksville resident Jason Spencer.

Spencer’s son reported him missing on Nov. 14 and said he left their house on Rebecca Lane, off of Fort Campbell Boulevard, on Nov. 9 at around 3 a.m., according to previous reports.

Clarksville Police were notified on Monday, Dec. 5, by Lindsay Bussick of Chaos Divers that they found a vehicle in the river near the McGregor Park boat ramp.

CPD said they received confirmation this morning from the medical examiner’s office that the body found inside the 2016 white Dodge Ram 1500 was that of the missing person, Jason Spencer.

The next of kin notifications have been made, and police said there is no other information available for release at this time.

There is no indication of foul play.
