ADAMS, Tenn. – Officials have recovered the body of 32-year-old Charles Gourley, who fell into the Red River while canoeing Saturday in Robertson County. 
WKRN News 2 reports that Gourley and his girlfriend were canoeing in the afternoon when he somehow fell out of the canoe. His girlfriend tried to save him, but the water was too cold.
He was not wearing a life jacket.
His body was found Wednesday approximately two miles from where he fell in the water. Investigators do not know if alcohol was involved. There is no further information at this time.
